We do not recommend that our Salaried or Apprentice trainees undertake the PGCE because of the additional workload and higher timetable. In exceptional circumstances, we are able to facilitate this but those that do opt into the PGCE are liable to fund the fee privately. The fee for the PGCE is not covered by the employing/placement school, or ourselves. Salaried trainees are not able to apply for a Student Loan to cover this fee.
